Tags – The most specific search, mostly menu features like Espresso Martinis, Outdoor Seating, Dog Friendly, Late Night, Flavored Margaritas, Brunch, F&B Specials, and anything else that you might be interested in.
DEALS
Bartopia is the only app that has every bar deal in Charleston. Whether through looking it up directly or stumbling upon a bar, you’ll see a full breakdown of any weekly deals and specials they offer. These might be things like Happy Hour, Taco Tuesday, Wine Wednesday or events like Trivia and Live Music.
The deals section of each bar are neatly laid out, and include summaries of their deals at the top in the form of Features. You can click on these Features to view all the bars that offer that type of deal, just like at the top of the home page!
Each bars’ profile also has every detail you might need such as social media and website, hours and location. Plus any announcements and upcoming events they’re hosting!
SEARCH
Bartopia is designed for bar deals, but there are far too many to just throw them all in with no organization. That’s why Bartopia functions as a search engine for bars in Charleston and their deals! We’ll walk you through the different ways you can search for and browse the many bars in Charleston. They include:

Features
As we mentioned, Features are common types of deals offered by bars, designed so you can save money on whatever you’re in the mood for at the time!
Their main home is at the top of the home page, where you can scroll through a bunch of choices.
Locations
Location searches let you narrow down to specific parts of Charleston. These are each buttons on the home page that you can scroll through, or you can combine them with Categories in the search section (more on this soon). Tap the search bar or the search tab at the bottom to open this menu!
Categories
Categories are types or styles of bars, for when you’re in the mood for a specific vibe. These narrow things down by establishments like Breweries, Cocktail Lounges and Sports Bars. Most bars fit into multiple Categories.
These can be accessed from the same search menu above. And you can combine both Categories and Locations into one search!
BROWSING
Searching is great for specifics, but the magic happens when you’re looking at all the options. Here we’ll lay out the ways to browse bars and their deals within the app.
Search Results
Once you perform any search, you’ll see all results as a snapshot of the bar and it’s specials. Clicking the Title or Image will take you to the bar’s page. You can also click ” – Click to See More – ” and you’ll be taken straight to the Deals section of their page.
To take your search further, you have 3 additional filter buttons at the bottom of the screen above the footer.
Filters
This button opens advanced filters where you can add specific Categories, Price Ranges, and sort results by Best Match, Most Viewed, and which bars are open right now.
Near Me
The near me button will filter your search to show bars that are nearest to you. Perfect for finding the next bar when you’re out!
You’ll need to allow Bartopia to use your location for this feature. We will not and cannot ever access your exact location, so this sorting won’t be a perfect match of everything nearby.
Map
This switches the results to a map view, allowing you to browse from a birds-eye-view.
Pro Tip
The best strategy for finding nearby bars is to use Near Me to get all the closest bars on the first page of results, then using map view to see all their locations!
What's Happening Now
On the home page, you can browse all the bars with specials today. These are all the bars that have deals, specials or weekly events on that given day of the week.
The home page gives you a random 5, but to see them all just click the Arrow icon to expand the results!
Many bars have things like Happy Hour that’s not available every day. This is made for when you’re heading out and only want to browse the bars with offerings today.
And, as always you can use Filters to further narrow down the results.
Special Events
This is an entire section dedicated to unique, one-time events hosted by bars in Charleston. These are things like Live Music shows, Pop-ups, Workshops, Themed Trivia nights, Markets, and more.
The home page shows 5 highlight events, but you can see them all by clicking the Arrow Icon.
This takes you to the full Events Page. Here you can scroll through all the events coming up and their dates. Clicking on one of them, you can see a full description, share it with friends, and even buy tickets directly in the app (if it’s a ticketed event).
Feeling Lucky
Last but not least, you have a Random Bar Generator at the bottom of the home page. Sometimes you won’t want to search but still want to find new bars and specials. This is the perfect tool for that.
If you want to keep rolling the dice, just swipe back from the left side of your screen, and hit Choose Randomly again!
SAVING YOUR FAVORITES
One of the most powerful features of Bartopia, is your ability to save all of your favorite bars to your profile to view later. This lets you manage your most frequent go-to bars and their specials, or save something new you found to check back on later.
How to Save Favorites
Once you’ve found a bar you love, simply click the “Save” button with the bookmark right below the name of the bar on their page. You’ll need to be signed in for this, if you aren’t yet, the app will ask you to create an account.
Viewing Your Favorites
To view your Saved Favorites, just click the Profile Tab in the bottom right corner. This tab defaults to your Saved bars, and you can also update profile info, change preferences, and view achievements🏆 (coming soon!).
Here you can toggle between a Compact overview of all your favorites, and a Full View that shows all their weekly deals!
